Ride of the Roses – support The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity at their annual 50, 80 or 100 mile cycle challenge

Just £20 to register, there is a choice of three circular routes of 50, 80 or 100 miles all on road starting in Banks, Southport.

The three routes will each take you along stunning Lancashire country lanes. The 80 mile and 100 mile routes will include some cycling through and around the Trough of Bowland, an area of outstanding beauty! All three routes are designed to be challenging but the 50 mile route has fewer challenging hills but is equally as scenic. We strongly advice only experienced cyclists take on the epic 100 mile route which has over 6,000 ft of climbing.

The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity Corporate Challenge

2017 is an exciting time for The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, as we start our expansion into the heart of the region with a brand new hospital in Liverpool city centre and look ahead to improving our Wirral site.

It’s our vision to transform cancer care for patients across the North West and this is your chance to be with us from the very beginning! In 2015, companies across Merseyside and Cheshire raised over £30,000 in our first ever corporate challenge. This helped to fund the state of the art Varian Edge radiotherapy machine, making us the first cancer hospital in the UK to have this piece of equipment. It has since made a huge difference to the treatment plan of hundreds of patients.

In 2016, businesses of every size took part in our second Clatterbridge Corporate Challenge and raised over £25,000 to help fund The Lounge – an important social space for our most unwell patients, when the new hospital opens its doors.

We need your help once again in 2017/18!  By signing up to our challenge, and making the pledge to turn £50 into £1000 over six months, you could help us raise the additional £15,000 still needed to fund the Lounge in our new hospital in Liverpool.

Hospice of the Good Shepherd are launching their 500 club with us today

Hospice of the Good Shepherd are launching their 500 club with us today.   Could you become part of the Hospice supporter community by committing  to a £500 donation each year for a minimum of 3 years?   The more members – the greater the impact, if just 36 of us commit today that will fund a nurse for three years.   The amount can be made in one lump sum or via staff fundraising activity (the more you can raise the better!), but the key thing is to sign up to a minimum three year commitment to supporting them.

Their fantastic new building includes the inspiring Living Well Centre, its fab to have the new shiny building  but now they need to cover its running costs and this supporter club is key to ensuring each and every room is fully utilised by patients, their friends and their families.
